What is the Connected Curious Capable course?

Connected Curious Capable is a self-paced online professional learning program for elementary educators. It helps teachers understand what may be happening beneath student behaviour and respond with practical, regulation-informed, relationship-based strategies. Across six modules, educators learn how to create the conditions for learning, identify barriers affecting student participation, match supports to student needs, respond calmly during challenging moments, and build students' independence, self-awareness, and confidence.

Who is the course for?

The course is designed for elementary teachers and other school-based educators who want to better understand student behaviour, communication, regulation, and learning needs, and feel more confident in how they respond. It is especially relevant for educators supporting neurodivergent students, students with language or learning differences, and students who may become overwhelmed, disengaged, or dysregulated at school. No prior specialized training is required.

How long does the course take?

The course is fully self-paced, so you can move through it in a way that fits your schedule. Most educators complete it over four to eight weeks, although there is no deadline. You can pause between lessons, apply strategies in your classroom, and return to the material as needed.
